Q:
My Datameter displays 'Reload System'?
A:
This can sometimes happen when the Datameter has been interrupted during a logging session or the battery runs down during an experiment. Recharge the batteries if required and by pressing the reset buttons and holding down the Blue button, the Datameter should reset. (The Video shows you how.)
If this fails, you may need to reload the Datameter system. This is achieved by selecting 'Datameter Updates' on the left or by clicking here. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact support@dcpmicro.com
Q:
My Datameter displays '???' when I plug a new sensor in?
A:
Datameter may need a sensor update. Click on the 'Logger Updates' tab above.
Q:
My batteries don't seem to be holding a charge?
A:
Before contacting DCP, check that the batteries are receiving a full 16 hour charge. Some institutions have isolated labs overnight where the electricity is turned off. Hence, the Datameter never receives a full charge. If you think you might still have a problem please contact support@dcpmicro.com
Q:
Can I use my Datameter with USB?
A:
Yes. Datameter can be used with our USB to serial cable (part no. D100120). Please note that PC/Win software must be running LogIT Lab 32 bit and Insight version 3.16 upwards. (see software updates) for the cable to work.
Q:
Is Datameter compatible with Windows Vista?
A:
Yes. Provided you are running LogIT Lab version 3.21n or Datalogging Insight version 4.21 upwards (see software updates)
